History Miller Lake is part of the Mississippi waterway that is 160 kmlong, rising E of the Kawartha Lakes, S Ont., Canada, and flowing NE through Mississippi Lake, then N to the Ottawa River near Arnprior. Miller Lake is part of the Central Watershed that flows from Crotch Lake. The water levels of Miller lake fluctuate up to 2 feet largely due to the dam located at Crotch Lake that controls the flow and prevents flooding that occurs in this area. Home of loons, blue herons, beaver and many Otter, this lake is quaint, quiet and our piece of paradise.
